Tyler Badie

Badie ended the 2025 regular season with eight carries for 23 yards, adding 19 receptions on 31 targets for 141 yards across 16 games, operating mostly as an afterthought behind J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey, used sparingly out of the backfield primarily as a pass catcher in hurry-up situations. After Dobbins landed on IR, teammate Jaleel McLaughlin leaped Badie on the depth chart.

Badie failed to record a single carry for the second straight week and the 11th time in the season, with his pass-catcher role diminishing in recent weeks while rookie RJ Harvey took over, and he played just 15 of the Broncos' 66 offensive snaps.

Retained only via an ERFA minimum tender — the lowest possible organizational commitment. This signals Badie is a camp body and special teams contributor, not a roster lock. He is a legitimate pre-camp cut candidate if Denver drafts a RB.

Denver used a 4th-round pick on Jonah Coleman, who is being groomed for the No. 3 RB / third-down role and is compared by Sean Payton to Dobbins in style — the exact niche Badie was competing for with McLaughlin.

If Denver's other RBs suffer injury, Badie could reclaim a meaningful touch share; however, this is a volatile dependency given the talent available in the market.

Badie's value as a co-kick returner and camp presence provides a marginal path to the 53-man roster independent of offensive depth chart position. This is irrelevant for dynasty scoring but relevant for exposure to garbage-time opportunity.

If both Harvey and Dobbins miss extended time simultaneously, Badie is a known system player who could see emergency carries — an extremely low-probability outcome with Coleman and McLaughlin now ahead of him.

Special teams contribution may keep Badie on a 53-man or practice squad spot, extending his window of availability but carrying zero dynasty value.
