Even as nominal WR3, Felton faces brutal volume compression behind Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and T.J. Hockenson — three genuine pass-game priorities. The WR3 job in this offense projects to 25-35 targets at best in a full season, capping his dynasty upside severely.

At 22.9 years old, Felton is in prime value appreciation window for WRs. If he secures consistent role, significant dynasty upside exists over next 5+ years.

A full offseason in the system and potential WR3 vacancy could set up Felton's clearest path to action if Jalen Nailor departs in free agency. If the Vikings trade Jordan Addison, Nailor would be the natural WR2 option, which would be quite a jump for Felton, but his pathway expands if both leave.

WR coach Keenan McCardell, who worked with Felton at his Pro Day, expressed confidence: 'It was a really good workout. I told him I'm going to fight to get you.' McCardell noted Felton can play special teams and do a lot to help the team.

Minnesota spent zero 2026 draft picks on wide receiver (R6 RB Claiborne, R5 TE Bredeson only), a clear organizational signal of buy-in on Felton's development trajectory as the WR3 incumbent going into training camp.

At 23 with a speed/gunner profile, Felton has the athleticism for a deep-threat WR3 role. Playing opposite Jefferson and Addison means defenses cannot afford bracket coverage on him, and Kyler Murray's improved arm-talent further unlocks the deep ball.
