Nick Westbrook-Ikhine

On the current depth chart, Westbrook-Ikhine sits behind Jaylen Waddle, Malik Washington, Cedrick Wilson, and Theo Wease. Even after battling for No. 3 WR duties behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, he should only be added in deep leagues if Hill or Waddle miss time.

The Colts signed NWI explicitly for his run-blocking to support Jonathan Taylor, not as a route-runner. Shane Steichen's staff views him as a dirty-work presence, all but guaranteeing near-zero target volume and fantasy irrelevance.

Westbrook-Ikhine signed a two-year contract in Miami and has promptly flopped, posting 11 receptions for 89 yards through the first 14 games. Though he had 9 TDs on 32 catches with Tennessee, his 15.0% TD rate is nowhere close to sustainable.

Westbrook-Ikhine is a strong release candidate for March 2026, with his 2026 cap hit of $3.2 million only yielding $1.59 million in savings. The Dolphins are $16-25 million over the cap and need to make cuts, and his complete lack of production makes him expendable.

Tyreek Hill is almost certain to be released before March 13, 2026, to save $22-36 million in cap space. If Westbrook-Ikhine is retained, this could theoretically open WR3 opportunities, though his 2025 performance suggests he won't capitalize.

As a stable depth piece and occasional red-zone target, Westbrook-Ikhine offers flex-stream appeal in PPR formats during bye weeks or matchups where Miami gets positive game scripts.

An injury to Jaylen Waddle could temporarily elevate Westbrook-Ikhine's role if he remains on the roster. However, Malik Washington has already leapfrogged him on the depth chart, limiting this scenario's viability.

Michael Pittman Jr.'s trade to Pittsburgh vacated the Colts' WR3 role, and NWI currently holds that slot on the depth chart. The volume ceiling is very limited even in the best case.

Josh Downs enters 2026 as a pending unrestricted free agent. A mid-season extension failure or Downs departure after 2026 could theoretically open up targets, but NWI at age 30 next offseason is unlikely to be the beneficiary.

Pittman Jr.'s departure to Pittsburgh vacated ~111 targets that Steichen says will be redistributed — but the bulk flows to Warren, Pierce and Downs, leaving only spillover for the WR3+ tier.
