Chronic soft-tissue issues (recurring hamstrings, plus appendicitis) have limited Lloyd to one career game across 2024-2025; he spent all of 2025 on IR and never logged a regular-season snap. The recurrence risk is the dominant overhang on his value.

Entering a make-or-break Year 3, Lloyd must prove he deserves a roster spot rather than being penciled in. LaFleur and the RB staff are optimistic on his offseason shape, but a healthy camp is a prerequisite, not a guarantee.

Josh Jacobs is the entrenched workhorse, and Green Bay re-signed Chris Brooks as the primary backup while Damien Martinez, Pierre Strong, and Jaden Nixon crowd the depth chart. Even at full health, Lloyd projects as a complementary change-of-pace piece, not a featured back.

Coaches (Stenavich, Sirmans) continue to praise Lloyd's explosiveness as the 'X-factor' element they drafted in the third round out of USC. If healthy, he offers standalone change-of-pace and clear pass-game/handcuff value behind an aging Jacobs.

As the most explosive back behind a 28-year-old high-volume Jacobs, Lloyd carries meaningful contingency upside; any Jacobs absence would funnel early-down and passing-down work his direction in a strong Jordan Love-led offense.
