T.J. Hockenson restructured his contract and is confirmed on the Vikings roster for 2026, cementing Oliver in a TE2 blocking role. With Hockenson healthy and installed as the clear pass-catching TE (51 catches, 438 yards, 3 TDs in 2025), Oliver's target share will remain in the single digits.

At 29, Oliver is entering the back half of his dynasty window with no realistic path to a featured role. Blocking TEs rarely hold dynasty relevance at this age, and with Hockenson under contract and a restructured deal suggesting commitment through at least 2026, Oliver's runway is extremely limited.

Oliver scored 4 TDs on just 15 receptions in 2025 — a 26.7% touchdown rate that is far above any sustainable level. His current dynasty trade value is heavily inflated by red-zone variance that is statistically unlikely to repeat at scale.

Hockenson posted his lowest PFF grade since his rookie year (61.2) in 2025 and has a significant injury history including a torn ACL/MCL in 2023. If Hockenson misses meaningful time, Oliver immediately becomes the starter in a legitimate offense with J.J. McCarthy at QB and Justin Jefferson leading the targets.

Oliver is widely regarded as one of the NFL's premier blocking TEs, giving him reliable roster security and a near-guaranteed active spot. The R5 draft pick Max Bredeson is effectively a fullback replacement for retired C.J. Ham — not a receiving TE threat to Oliver's role.
