Jaylin Noel

Noel finished with one or fewer receptions for the 11th time in 17 games and is clearly fifth on the wideout depth chart. Even with injuries to Collins, Kirk, and Dell creating temporary opportunities, the Texans maintain a loaded WR room limiting his offensive volume.

Noel finished the 2025 regular season with 26 catches on 35 targets for 292 yards and two touchdowns, averaging just 2.1 targets per game with a 6.3% team target share. This severely limits dynasty upside despite his 23 years old age.

Noel's snap and target share fell sharply across the final four weeks (25% snaps / 15% tgt share in W17 down to 8% snaps / 2% tgt share by W20), suggesting he was phased out as the season progressed rather than developing into a trusted option for C.J. Stroud.

Both Higgins and Noel caught the attention of the staff and scouting department, with Caserio expecting the duo to have expanded roles in the passing game entering Year 2. Second-year breakouts are common for productive rookies in favorable QB situations.

Christian Kirk is a pending free agent and multiple sources indicate the Texans are unlikely to re-sign him. His departure could open 50-70 targets and expanded slot/WR3 opportunities for Noel in 2026.

GM Nick Caserio stated he expects Noel to get 'some more opportunities here offensively' in Year 2 and praised his versatility. OC Nick Caley also expressed confidence, suggesting planned role expansion is coming.

At 23 years old, Noel is firmly in the WR development window where Year 2 scheme familiarity and route-running refinement can unlock a larger role. If the Texans identify a specific package role (e.g., slot specialist) for him in 2026, his dynasty value could jump quickly.

Dell's recovery from a torn ACL, MCL, LCL, meniscus, and dislocated kneecap carries legitimate re-injury and durability risk through 2026. A Dell setback would meaningfully elevate Noel's opportunity in a C.J. Stroud-led offense.

Christian Kirk's exit vacates slot snaps, and Tank Dell's recovery from a multi-ligament knee reconstruction has no firm timetable (Ryans expects him back 'at some point' in 2026, possibly not Week 1). A slow Dell ramp could hand Noel early-season slot reps.
