Jawhar Jordan

Jordan is RB3 in Houston behind David Montgomery (traded from Detroit, signed a 2-year $16.5M deal) and Woody Marks. With Montgomery on a multi-year commitment as the clear RB1, there is no realistic path to meaningful touches barring a double-injury scenario.

RB age 26 — entering/past typical value cliff

As a 6th-round pick with limited regular-season production, Jordan is a fringe roster player. With Montgomery and Marks both under contract, Jordan could be cut if the Texans add a cheaper or more specialized depth piece in the 2026 draft.

Jordan demonstrated he can handle a full workload in emergencies — he had 43 carries for 193 yards in 4 late-2025 games when Marks and Chubb were hobbled. A Montgomery or Marks injury could briefly elevate him to flex/streamer territory, but this is speculative.

Jordan caught all 7 of his targets in one 2025 game and profiles as a capable pass-catching back, which could earn him a small third-down role even in a healthy backfield. However, Houston's backfield is not likely to create meaningful PPR volume for a RB3.

Houston added zero RB draft capital in 2026 (only Bond WR R6 and Klein TE R2), so Jordan's path was not further crowded and he remains next-man-up depth behind two backs.
