1- Usage & Volume
Javonte Williams and Emari Demercado sit ahead of Abanikanda in the pecking order, and his recent outings have shown thin snap shares (8-38%) with carry share trending down even as he's active.

3- Depth Chart Movement
Dallas promoted Abanikanda from the practice squad to the active roster in September 2026 after a backfield injury opening, his first real path to game-day touches as a Cowboy.
- Target Volume
His target share has trended upward across his last few outings even as snaps and carries slipped, hinting at a change-of-pace passing-down look if the staff leans into it.
- Draft Capital
Dallas added no same-position draft capital in the 2026 class, so his path to complementary work isn't crowded by a rookie.
