Chism's value is anchored to a kickoff-return/depth role (16 KR for 383 yards as a rookie); his offensive ceiling depends on injuries ahead of him rather than earned snaps, capping standalone dynasty value.

As a 2025 UDFA out of Eastern Washington with only 3 career catches, Chism carries no draft-capital tiebreaker and is the type of fringe roster piece most exposed when the team upgrades the WR room.

New England added no WR in the 2026 draft (R3 TE Eli Raridon, R7 QB/RB), so Chism's depth/slot role faces no incoming rookie threat — his roster spot is secure even if his target path is not.

If Boutte is dealt (active trade rumors) and Douglas departs, Chism could earn rotational slot snaps with Drake Maye, who already trusted him for a Week 17 TD; this is a thin but real contingency path.
