Vele was placed on injured reserve and will miss the rest of the season. His 2025 campaign ended prematurely, creating significant uncertainty for 2026 recovery timeline and readiness.

The Saints selected Jordyn Tyson at #8 overall and added Bryce Lance (R4) and Barion Brown (R6), explicitly 'transforming the wideout room.'
