Risk Flags
4- Backfield Depth
Claiborne enters as RB3 behind Jordan Mason (emerging RB1 with 768 rushing yards and 4.8 YPC in 2025) and Aaron Jones (still under a $14.55M cap hit in 2026). A clear path to meaningful volume requires two backs ahead of him to move on.
- Usage Ceiling
Claiborne is extremely undersized for the NFL, and scouts project he will never handle a true workhorse workload. His dynasty ceiling is likely a PPR-dependent receiving back role, not a volume-based RB1/RB2 fantasy asset.
- Draft Capital
As a 6th round selection (198th overall), Claiborne has low organizational investment behind him. The Vikings view him as a developmental rotational piece, not a player they will force-feed opportunities to early in his career.
- Ball Security
Fumbled five times on 179 carries in his senior season at Wake Forest — a real flag for a young back trying to earn a coaching staff's trust on passing downs.
