Donaldson went undrafted in 2026, a significant ceiling limiter. UDFAs at RB rarely develop into meaningful dynasty contributors without an extraordinary opportunity or injury windfall.

The Saints' RB room is stacked: Travis Etienne (just signed 4yr/$52M), Alvin Kamara, Kendre Miller, Devin Neal, and Audric Estime all slot ahead of Donaldson. Earning a 53-man roster spot from 6th on the depth chart is a steep climb.

Donaldson accumulated only 40 career receptions in college — a significant liability in modern NFL offenses and especially for a Saints team built around pass-catching backs like Etienne and Kamara. Restricts his role to early downs at best.

His 3.8 YPC in 2025 at Ohio State is below-average even accounting for short-yardage usage. Limited burst and elusiveness will make it hard to impress in a crowded camp.
